Thank you to those who attended NJSCA’s recent U12 representative cricket Trial 1. Seventy five players registered for the trial.
The selectors have chosen 40 players to attend Trial 2, which will be held on Sunday 22 March at Primula Oval, 10 Primula St, Lindfield. Players are to arrive no later than 1.45pm for check-in.
Trial 2 will be a centre wicket trial. As players will be selected to perform specific roles, they might not be required to both bat and bowl. Players’ fielding ability will be assessed explicitly. Those who nominated as wicket keepers will be assessed in that discipline.
Players are to bring a 142g red leather cricket ball and are not to wear representative cricket clothing. They should also bring food and water.
Parents will not be permitted to coach or video players when they undertake trial activity. Parents will also be required to remain in certain areas during the trial.
Age checks will be conducted at check-in, so parents are to ensure they have a passport or birth certificate for their children.
