Trial Arrangements
Trial 1 – Sunday 7 September 25. Venue: nets at Koola Park (Koola Ave, East Killara). Trialists with surnames starting:
- A to M inclusive are to arrive at 12:15pm to have names checked off and receive numbered bibs. The briefing will occur at 12:45pm and trial activity will start at 1pm.
- N to Z inclusive are to arrive at 2:15pm to have names checked off and receive numbered bibs. The briefing will occur at 2:45pm and trial activity will start at 3pm.
An Overview of Representative Cricket and NSJCA’s representative cricket policies are contained in the Representative Cricket section of the website. Parents are asked to read that material.
Parents, trialists and those selected to play will be required to comply with those policies, some of which will be highlighted during the pre-trial briefing.
Parents are requested to continue monitoring the website as arrangements for Trial 1 may need to change at short notice.
Trial 2 – 2pm, Sunday 21 September.
Only players who are invited to do so will attend Trial 2. Players are to be present at 2pm to receive the pre-trial briefing. Venue: TBA.
Eligibility
To be eligible to trial players must:
- Have registered to play for a club that will play in an NSJCA-administered competition for the 2025/26 season and nominate to play for a team that will play in an NSJCA-administered competition in that season. Registration and nomination must occur prior to the trials. Proof may be requested at Trial 1.
- Be aged either 9 or 10 as at 31 August 2025.
Exemptions for eligibility require approval from NSJCA’s Representative Sub‐Committee and will only be granted case-by-case. Requests for exemptions are to be submitted via reps@nsjca.asn.au before registration but no later than 6pm on Sunday 31 August.

If you register and subsequently decide to cancel, please advise us before Trial 1 takes place. Registrations will close 5pm, Friday 5 September.
By registering, parents agree to accept selection decisions made by NSJCA’s Representative Sub-Committee.
Parent and Player Responsibilities
For each trial, players are to bring a 142g red leather cricket ball. They should also bring food and water.
Players are not to wear representative cricket clothing to trials.
Parents are to:
– supervise triallists who are not undertaking trial activity at a particular time
– remain at a distance from trial areas, including when their children are undertaking trial activity.
