  • N to Z inclusive are to be ready to start trialling at 3pm.

Players are to be present at the above times to receive pre-trial briefings.

Trial 2 – 2pm, Sunday 21 September.

Only players who are invited to do so will attend Trial 2. Players are to be present at 2pm to receive the pre-trial briefing.

Venues for Trial 1 and Trial 2 are to be determined and will be advised via NSJCA’s website as soon as available.

Parents are requested to check the website close to the trial dates as arrangements may need to change at short notice.

Eligibility

To be eligible to trial players must:

  • Have registered to play for a club that will play in an NSJCA-administered competition for the 2025/26 season. Proof of registration may be requested at Trial 1.
  • Be aged either 9 or 10 as at 31 August 2025.

Selected players must then play for a club that plays in a competition administered by NSJCA.

Exemptions for eligibility require approval from NSJCA’s Representative Sub‐Committee and will only be granted case-by-case. Requests for exemptions are to be submitted via reps@nsjca.asn.au before registration but no later than 6pm on Sunday 31 August.

Registration

Trialists must register using this link: https://www.trybooking.com/DDJHQ

If you register and subsequently decide to cancel, please advise us before Trial 1 takes place. Registrations will close 5pm, Friday 5 September.

Parent and Player Responsibilities

For each trial, players are to bring a 142g red leather cricket ball. They should also bring food and water.

Players are not to wear representative cricket clothing to trials.

Parents are to:

– supervise triallists who are not undertaking trial activity at a particular time

– remain at a distance from trial areas, including when their children are undertaking trial activity

Commitment

Players selected need to be available to play substantially all competition matches and practice matches, so parents should check likely competition dates before deciding whether to trial.

Players also need to be available to attend training as determined by the team coach. Typically, teams practice midweek during the representative season. Representative training takes precedence over club training. Parent and Player Responsibilities

Compliance

Parents who register are requested to read NSJCA’s representative cricket policies, which can be found under the Representative Cricket drop down on the website at https://nsjca.asn.au/

These policies, including codes of conduct, bind trialists and those selected to play. By registering, parents agree to accept selection decisions made by NSJCA’s Representative Sub-Committee. If you have queries, please email reps@nsjca.asn.au
