The NSJCA would like to provide a brief update on preparations for the U13 (Mollie Dive Shield) and U15 (Margaret Peden Shield) girls rep competitions for season 2024/25:
Rep trials
The U13 rep trial will be held on Sunday 20 October 2024, commencing at 2pm at the nets at Koola Park.
If determined by the selectors to be needed, a second trial will be held at 2pm Sunday 27 October 2024, using the synthetic wicket at a venue to be determined.
The U15 rep trial will be held on Tuesday 15 October 2024, commencing at 5.30pm at Cricket Central, Silverwater.
If determined by the selectors to be needed, a second trial (centre wicket) will be held Friday 18 October 2024 at a venue to be determined.
For those interested in participating in either or both of these trials, a booking link with confirmation of trial details and timing will be published here on this website closer to the first trial dates. If the second trial is needed, selected triallists will be separately advised by email.
Season details
Playing arrangements for these Girls Representative Competitions are still being finalised by Cricket NSW.
Based on information currently available, the playing season for U13 girls reps will begin on Sunday 1 December 2024, with 4 rounds of matches up to the Christmas break, then resuming on Sunday 19 January 2025.
The U15 girls reps competition is expected to begin on Tuesday 17 December with 2 games before Christmas. This will be followed by the a break until Tuesday 7 January. The further rounds and then finals will likely conclude on 20 January 2025.
At this stage, the NSJCA expects all girls representative teams to commence training in late October.
Eligibility – Girls
Players are eligible to represent the NSJCA if they meet ANY of the criteria determined by Cricket NSW as the competition convenor. These criteria are set out below:
a) The player is enrolled in a school within the boundaries of the NSJCA area;
b) The player resides within the boundaries of the NSJCA area; or
c) The player plays for a Club within the NSJCA competition or is within the boundaries of the NSJCA area.
Note a Club may be a Women’s Premier Cricket Club – including a Brewer Shield team within the NSJCA area or a Junior Club within the NSJCA area.
The NSJCA area is broadly Mosman, Lane Cove, North Sydney, Willoughby, and most of Ku‐ring‐gai council areas.
